The 16 year old Lancashire racer moves to the Mini Challenge from the British Karting Championship.  Future star Sam has been racing karts from the age of 5 years old, starting in the Bambino kart class. Since then he has worked his way through the karting ranks with many successes and achievements throughout the years; highlights including finishing as 2019 British Vice Champion in Mini Max, winning the 2020 PFi Winter Series, and again ending up as runner up in the 2021 British Junior Rotax Championship.
Towards the end of the 2022 season Sam tested in Formula Ford and on his debut race managed to make it through to the finals against a huge international grid in the Walter Hayes Trophy at Silverstone.
Sam said: “I am really excited for the 2023 season to be joining AReeve Motorsport and stepping up from Rotax karts to the Mini Challenge. I’m very pleased to be part of such a strong team as AReeve, with their excellent track record of success in this Championship. I feel it’s going to be a really interesting season, learning both the new tracks and the Mini Cooper race car, in this very competitive championship.
I look forward to working hard with the team and I will be pushing myself to ensure we get the very best results we can. I would like thank Pete Marquis Contractors, who is our main sponsor, and The Oaks Koi Farm for their ongoing support this season.”
Race Engineer Henry Potter said: “It’s fantastic to have Sam joining AReeve  for the 2023 season, he has shown great pace and consistency in his career so far, we aim to hit the ground running at the season opener after a winter testing programme and we are sure that Sam will be someone to look out for this year”.
