The AReeve Motorsport team is planning to launch a multi-car assault on the 2020 MINI CHALLENGE JCW Championship.

The Norfolk-based team will be aiming to have four 265bhp JCW machines ready to go for the 2020 campaign and is keen to return to the CHALLENGE’s top category for the first time since 2017.

Despite not taking part in the JCW CHALLENGE the last term, AReeve Motorsport was the standout performer in the MINI CHALLENGE Cooper S division, and a frontrunner in the Cooper Class also. The team dominated the Cooper S campaign, running Will Fairclough to the title and taking the lion’s share of race victories across the year.

Team head Aaron Reeve said he was excited to take his team back into the JCW category in time for its switch to the British Touring Car Championship support bill for 2020.

“We always planned to return to the JCW Championship, the fact that we’ll be there to coincide with the move to the BTCC package is just an added bonus,” said Reeve.

“We kept a close eye on the JCWs last season and we know how great the cars are from first being involved in 2015 then running them back in 2016 and 2017, too. We proved last season that we can be a front-running team and we proved that we can fight for – and win – championships. The 2020 aim is to come back and take the fight to the teams at the front of the JCW grid.”

AReeve Motorsport has already invested in upgrading its facilities ahead of the next season and is keen to speak to drivers interested in joining the JCW CHALLENGE for 2020. The team can cater for owner/driver race support as well as offer a full arrive-and-drive service.
