Fresh from a stunning debut season in the Quaife MINI CHALLENGE Trophy, teenage racer Harry Nunn will return with AReeve Motorsport in 2021 as he bids to defend the title he secured last year.
On the back of a top three finish in the Focus Cup Championship in 2019, Harry made the move into the Cooper class twelve months ago and marked himself out as one to watch when he qualified on the front row of the grid for his series debut at Oulton Park.
A podium finish then followed on race day and Harry would be a regular contender towards the sharp end of the grid as the season developed, establishing himself as a championship challenger heading into the closing stages of a campaign shortened to eleven races as a result of the pandemic.
An impressive win on a drying track at Croft – where Harry took victory by the largest margin seen in the Cooper class all season – kicked off a run of four successive podium finishes, which concluded with him wrapping up the title during the season finale at Donington Park.
Harry’s return as part of AReeve Motorsport’s multi-car Cooper entry will now give him the chance to become only the second driver to successful defend the class title, with his first outing carrying the #1 coming this weekend with the opening two races of the year at Snetterton.
“I’m delighted to be back for a second season in the series, as there aren’t many drivers who get the chance to defend the title,” he said. “Last year was brilliant for me and I was able to learn a huge amount as the season went on. To end it as the champion was a fantastic achievement.
